Our History

KP Marine is abbreviated form Kapiti Propeller and Marine.

In the beginning 50 or so years ago, the company started by Graeme Bassett as Kapiti Propellers.

Repairing all sizes and shapes of propellers in a small engineering workshop in Raumati on the Kapiti Coast.

The company was purchased 1995 by the current owner Phil Smith moving to Kapiti Road in Paraparaumu to a larger workshop where the marine repair element was added to the propeller repairs

In 2002 we moved to Plimmerton Gavin Brown joined Phil Smith as joint owners.
